Why we built Draivn

Insurers facing a decade of losses

For more than ten years, commercial auto insurers have struggled with combined ratios above 100 driven by social inflation, rising claims severity, and growing exposure complexity.

Fleets priced on averages

Despite investing heavily in telematics and safety, fleets rarely see it reflected in better insurance terms or lower premiums. Too often, the data never reaches insurance decisions.

Telematics could fix it

Telematics has the potential to improve underwriting, portfolio management, loss control, and claims – and finally reward fleets for the safety they've invested in. But slow adoption kept it from becoming everyday practice.

We've lived it ourselves

Our team has worked with insurers, brokers, and fleets for years. The pattern has always been the same: fleets generating valuable data, insurers deciding without it. The challenge was helping the industry trust telematics, share it, and use it in everyday decisions.
